Ribena R is a sensational mare who just explodes into action. She has a deliberate regular walk and a trot so powerful that “explode” is the only way to describe it! The canter is pronounced, round and seriously up-in-front. Ribena R has a very powerful physique, displaying great aesthetic balance, topped off with a stunning neck rising high out of her shoulders, and an exquisite head.
Ribena R is a full-sister to Ridotto R who sold at auction for $17,600. Ribena R is by Regardez Moi, two-time Australian Grand Prix Champion. Ribena’s dam Shakira is by Salute, also the sire of Victory Salute who with Brett Parbery in the saddle came 9th in the world at the 2010 WEG. Salute has produced international three-day eventers and World Cup showjumpers as well as Grand Prix dressage horses. On the bottom line, Lucilla is a full sister to Stirling Liberty (ridden by Olympian Gavin Chester), World Cup showjumper as a 7yo, and sire of top Grand Prix dressage horse Snowy River Blackwood (Di Jenkyn). Ribena R does have a blind eye on her near side.
